Bipolar Disorder

Bipolar Disorder has two subtypes: Type I and Type II. Bipolar Disorder Type I features severe manic episodes that last at least seven days or require hospital care, and depressive episodes lasting at least two weeks. Type II involves milder hypomanic episodes that last at least four days, without the severe mania of Bipolar I, but still includes significant depressive episodes. Treatment for both types of Bipolar involve medications and therapy to manage mood swings and improve quality of life.
