BILLY Footwear - Arguably one of the most popular and well known adaptive footwear companies, Billy Footwear provides a variety of shoes with different styles, features, and ways to make you more independent with your footwear. Billy Footwear was founded, in part, by a spinal cord injury survivor named Billy Price. Their mission is to make shoes with “universal design”, meaning something that would appeal to everyone. Their most notable feature is a zipper which starts at the top/side of the shoe, and comes all the way around the toe box. This enables the user to place their foot directly into the footbed, zip up, and go on about their day.
IZ Adaptive - Their website says they are the world’s #1 brand of adaptive clothing. IZ is a Canadian adaptive clothing company that produces a variety of clothing (business, casual, and activewear) for people with disabilities.
JCPenny | Adaptive Clothing & Accessories Shop - JCPenney offers a wide variety of adaptive clothing (and accessories) for children and adults of all genders. They have casual fashion styles that will suit most everyday wear settings.
Kohls | Find Functional Clothing For Your Family's Special Needs - Kohls partners with a few different clothing brands that have adaptive clothing lines. Some features include: Sensory friendly fabrics, easy-to-use closures, and clothing for seated users.
MagnaReady | Men's Adaptive Clothing - “The Original Magnetic Clothing Company”. MagnaReady targets male oriented business casual attire and accessories, using magnetic closures for easy, independent, dressing.
Stride Rite | Adaptable Footwear for Kids - Stride Rite is a popular children’s shoe manufacturer who got into the adaptable footwear scene in 2020. Their shoes include extra wide widths (perfect for AFO’s), removable footbeds, zippers & functional heel pull tabs, and a couple more features, all in different styles.
Target | Kids’ Adaptive Clothing - Target offers an expansive line of adaptive clothing for children, and a limited clothing line for adults with disabilities. Target focuses their kids’ adaptive clothing on the following things: convenient abdominal access, ease of dressing, and being sensory friendly.
Tommy Adaptive | Tommy Hilfiger USA - Tommy Hilfiger’s adaptive line of clothing has been around since 2017, and was one of the first (name brands) to produce a fashion line for adults with disabilities. They have a second adaptive line made for children as well, which was founded in 2016 with help from a nonprofit organization called Runway of Dreams.
Victoria's Secret | Adaptive Bras & Panties - Launched in October of 2023, Victoria’s Secret is making intentional efforts to provide accessible, beautiful, and comfortable bras & panties made for women with disabilities, represented by women with disabilities, and designed using feedback from those same women.
Zappos Adaptive | Functional and Fashionable Products to Make Life Easier - Zappos is an online marketplace that features adaptive shoes & clothing.
